Now that I'm gone, look up

Look at the stars

They may not shine brightly

Like the blazing sun

But they twinkle gently

If you look closely enough.

They twinkle on you

Not like the clouds that shed tears

Or the sun that beams

Or the wind that breathes life into you

Simply, they twinkle.

They remind you, to be

Gentle and free

They may have died long ago

But you can still see them

Forever existing

Like the happy memories of me

If only you remember.

Now that I'm gone

Look up at the stars

and smile.
