Poem: An age
Updated: May 31, 2021

She questioned the erratic weather
Drumming, shining, blowing
Gales and rays throughout time
Speeding, slipping, leaving
He watched the roasted nuts,
Ageing, hardened, dry
Bitterness of life
Together
Fading, failing, gone
Intertwined flaked skin
Forces of realism and cynicism
A slowly departed heartbeat
A lumpy throat
Forever crackedÂ
